Club Colours: Saffron and Blue
Marian Athletic Club is based in the town of Ennis and serves the needs of athletes of all ages and standards. It draws it's members from all the neighbouring parishes surrounding Ennis and has enjoyed enormous success at local, national and international level.
A succession of international athletes have been produced by the club. Chief among these has to be Marie McMahon who competed in the Atlanta Olympics, Gerard Nagle (shot and discus), John Mulkere (shot), Ted O'Brien (decathlon), Tomas O'Loughlin and Keir McNamara (middle distance), Brian Liddy (400 metres and 400 metre hurdles), David Courtney (400 metre hurdles) Robert Ford (shot) and Eugene Moynihan (Masters Cross Country) have all worn the green vest in the past number of years.
On the female side Linda O'Sullivan (walking race), Lorna O'Neill (200 and 400 metres), Cathy Ford (shot putt), Cushla Murphy, Maria Brennan, Orla O'Mahoney, Emmanuelle McMahon, Cliodhna Talty, Emer Doolaghty, Emma Jane Neylon, Rachel Lenihan (all middle distance) Maria Sheehan (400 metres) and Teresa Tierney (Hill Running) have all represented Ireland in the recent past
